Fab hat... love the yarn you used as well. Looks toasty warm and stylish too!

I love this hat and want to make it--do you have any idea what the gauge should be? I'm a relatively new knitter and would hate for my lovely hat to come out doll sized because I wanted to use a different yarn.

The gauge for the hat is 4.5 sts per inch on a size 7 needle; Paintbox is a worsted weight yarn, so if you use another worsted weight yarn, you should get about the same size. Good luck and have fun knitting the hat!

Beautiful hat!! Think I'll try it with Paton's soy striped yarn. Looks like it would have a fairly similar outcome.

Thanks and keep up the gorgeous knitting!!

I'm really glad that you've set up your own blog and have in fact publish your thoughts. I admire your work and feel I can refer to what you've done. Many folks can't even imagine having such talent. I hope that you know how lucky you are. :) Good luck to you in ALL your endeavors. :)
